Dark Days Challenge #5

Being on vacation is no excuse for not cooking locally.  In fact every where you go in Montana there are signs and ads reminding you to purchase locally.  I’m mixing Minnesota and Montana and looking forward to putting together meals that feature the best of both.

Our first dinner included rainbow carrots, potatoes and onions carried from Minnesota and roasted with MN butter of course.  Flank Steak from a local grass fed ranch grilled to perfection.  Bread from the Blue Moon bakery here on the mountain and a dessert of blueberry something featuring blue berries from my freezer.  Simple and a perfect blend.
