Winter Walking

Now that it’s cold outside there are a few tips to keep you walking outdoors everyday.
1. Dress in layers – wicking, warmth and wind protection
2. Wear less then you think you need – you should be cool the first 10 minutes and then warm up for the rest of your walk, you want to avoid sweating and being wet.
3. Cover your head!
4. If it’s really cold cover your face and wear glasses to shield your eyes
5. Don’t forget your grips for your shoes! I use “Get a Grips” but there are many products that will fit over your walking shoes.

Don’t let the cold keep you indoors! If you’re lucky enough to have snow, try snowshoes to get off the beaten path.
