It was a Pocket Rocket Day! That means there was fresh snow at Big Sky.
It’s amazing how fast the mountain can change, from windswept hardpack snow to inches of powder. The wind is still with us but it was glorious day. Everyone had snow fever, we skied from 10am-4pm with a few necessary warm ups (with the snow came cold ), and skied most of our favorite runs all over the mountain.
On one such warm up we saw Cheryl and Stu Savage, fellow Blizzard Instructors from years past, in the chalet. Turns out they’re staying in the condo just above us. I love those skiing connections! Cheryl is even considering the HOW trip to Beaver Creek. yea!
With the full moon rising we drove down to Michelle and Brian’s house in the Meadows . It was family time with a hot tub, dog play and grilled pork chops for dinner. As we left there was a mama moose and her yearling calf wandering through the bank parking lot. Perfect ending to a beautiful day.
There’s snow on the mountains, all is right in the world.
