From beginning walker to experienced runner, Nordic Walking is the perfect fitness activity for you. It's fun, it's easy and it's very social. The simple addition of Nordic Walking poles will turn your walk into a total body workout, engaging up to 90% of your body’s muscles while increasing your heart rate and calorie burn. Join us for an introduction to the theory and history of Nordic Walking while learning some basic technique for walking with the poles. During the second class we will work on optimizing your Nordic Walking Workout with personal attention to your technique and the introduction of specific interval exercises. Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather, we will be going outdoors. LEKI Nordic Walking demo poles will be available for use or you may bring your own Nordic Walking poles.
