Nordic Walking is fun, easy to learn and a great fitness activity to share with friends and family. Step up to the new way to walk with better posture, improved core strength and increased overall fitness. Walking with poles creates a natural rhythm while relieving the stress on your lower joints. This 3 part class, Thursdays April 27, May 4 and 11, will include an introduction to the history and benefits of Nordic Walking followed by instruction on safe and effective Nordic Walking technique. The following weeks we will have more time to become comfortable with the technique and focus on getting the most out of our walks. Come and experience the power of the poles for yourself. Nordic Walking poles will be available for use during the class. Please dress for the weather, wear good walking shoes and do not bring valuables to class as we will be going outdoors to walk with the poles.
